This keto blueberry raspberry jam is amazingly quick and easy to make! It’s also incredibly delicious!
I love making homemade condiments for my family and this keto blueberry raspberry jam is one of our favorites! With just 4 ingredients and in under 45 minutes, you can make this sweet and fruity treat. I hope you’ll love this jam as much as my family does!
Let’s talk about our berries!
When following a low carb keto plan, there aren’t many fruits that are allowed because of their carb count. The awesome news is that most berries, when consumed in moderation, are a great keto choice! For this jam, we’re using blueberries and raspberries. One cup of raspberries contains about 7 net grams of carbs. Blueberries are quite a bit higher as one cup contains 17-18 net grams. For comparison, one cup of strawberries contains about 7-8 net grams, while one cup of blackberries contains about 6 net grams of carbs. Berries also provide us with some important nutrients including copper, folate, manganese, and vitamins C and K, along with valuable antioxidants and a good source of fiber. I recommend using fresh blueberries and raspberries to make this jam.
Do you have any tips for making this keto blueberry raspberry jam?
This is a quick and easy jam to make, but I do have some tips so yours will turn out perfectly. I recommend using fresh berries to make this jam. My favorite keto sugar substitute is the Swerve brand, but for this dish I used allulose. This is because I knew the allulose wouldn’t crystallize when my jam cooled. If you use Swerve or an alternative keto sugar and it crystallizes after you refrigerate your jam, you’ll simply want to let it set out for a few minutes or gently warm it a little before serving. When cooking this jam, I use a potato masher to mash up my berries, while leaving some larger pieces. You can mash your mixture until you reach your desired consistency for your jam. Mashing the berries also help to thicken the jam which is important since we’re not adding any thickeners to it.
How can I serve this keto blueberry raspberry jam?
You have some wonderful low carb options for serving this jam. It’s an awesome topping for keto pancakes or waffles. You can also serve this as a topping for keto chaffles or English muffins. You can also use chaffles or your favorite keto bread to make an amazing peanut butter and jelly sandwich using this blueberry raspberry jam. This jam can also be served with keto crackers. An awesome appetizer can be made by topping a block of cream cheese with some of this jam. You can also use this jam to top keto cheesecake or ice cream. Another fun idea is to add this jam to keto Greek yogurt to make a creamy and delicious dessert or snack. It also makes for an amazing food gift for family and friends!
