You’ll feel cozy and warm every time you make this keto pumpkin maple latte! This is Autumn in a mug!
We love all things pumpkin, and this keto pumpkin maple latte is one of our favorites. This rich and creamy pumpkin drink takes only a handful of ingredients and just 10 minutes to make. You can make it even more decadent by topping it with some keto whipped cream if you’d like!
Let’s talk about our latte ingredients!
The base for our latte is a combination of unsweetened almond milk and heavy whipping cream. If you’d like, you could substitute with unsweetened coconut milk. You’ll just want to make sure you’re using the kind in a carton and not the kind in a can. For my sugar, I used the Swerve brand. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs and it’s remarkably similar in its sweetness level to regular sugar. Canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice give our latte incredible pumpkin flavor with just the right spice level. The addition of vanilla and salt also adds amazing flavor to our latte and enhances all the other flavors. For the coffee, I like to use strong brewed coffee.☕ For my maple syrup, I used the Lakanto brand and it’s impressively delicious! You can substitute with your favorite keto maple syrup if you’d prefer.
Do you have any tips for making this keto pumpkin maple latte?
This is an incredibly quick and easy latte to make, but I do have some tips so yours will turn out perfect every time. First, you’ll want to add all your ingredients, except the coffee, to a medium saucepan and whisk to combine the ingredients. I heated mine over medium high heat and whisked frequently while heating. You’ll want to heat your mixture until it’s hot but not boiling. I recommend giving your pumpkin mixture a taste and adding more sugar or more maple syrup if you’d like. Then before adding my pumpkin mixture to my coffee, I strain my mixture through a fine mesh sieve to get a completely smooth latte, but this is optional. Last, if you’d like, you can top your latte with some keto whipped cream or sprinkle it with some cinnamon, or both! I topped my latte with some homemade keto pumpkin whipped cream.
How do I make keto pumpkin whipped cream to top my keto pumpkin maple latte?
It’s so much fun and so easy to make homemade keto pumpkin whipped cream. And it makes great use of some of the extra pumpkin you have after making your latte! First, you’ll want to chill a medium mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, ¼ cup pumpkin, 3 tablespoons keto powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. You’ll simply beat this mixture until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. While mixing, you can give your whipped cream a taste and add more sugar if you’d prefer a sweeter whipped cream. You can also use a large mixing bowl and double this recipe if you’d like!
