This keto cream cheese dressing coleslaw is a creamy and amazingly delicious coleslaw variation! Enjoy!
When you want an awesomely rich and delightfully tangy salad, this keto cream cheese dressing coleslaw is the perfect choice. The addition of cream cheese to the coleslaw dressing adds super creaminess to this dish. It’s a fun variation that will be a big hit every time you serve it!
Let’s talk about our coleslaw mix!
You have some great options for your coleslaw mix. Sometimes I shred my own cabbage and make my own mix, but for this coleslaw I used a bag of coleslaw mix. It’s delicious, has a nice texture, and the amount of carrots added to it are small so the carb count remains low. If you’d like to make your own mix, you can shred or chop some green and red cabbage, and then can add some shredded carrots if you’d like. Some other fun choices for coleslaw include adding shredded Napa cabbage, shredded or chopped Brussels sprouts, finely chopped or sliced broccoli, or even shredded kohlrabi. I simply added fresh chopped parsley to my coleslaw mix. If you’d like, you could substitute with some fresh chopped cilantro. If you’d like extra crunch, you could also add some diced bell peppers or onions.
How do I make the dressing for this keto cream cheese dressing coleslaw?
The dressing for this coleslaw is quick and easy to make, yet it’s impressively delicious. I love making creamy coleslaw dressing and usually use a combination of mayonnaise and sour cream; but for this dressing I decided to use a base of cream cheese, and my family pretty much devoured it! To our cream cheese, we add heavy whipping cream and sour cream, which makes this dressing incredibly rich and creamy. The addition of apple cider vinegar adds a nice tangy element, and the keto sugar gives this dressing just the right amount of sweetness. For seasoning, we simply add celery seed, salt, and pepper. You’ll simply combine all your dressing ingredients in a bowl and use an electric mixer to beat the dressing until it’s smooth and combined. If there are some small lumps of cream cheese in your dressing, no worries as it will work just fine.
How can I serve this keto cream cheese dressing coleslaw?
You have some great low carb options for serving this coleslaw. It pairs well with all kinds of meats including beef, chicken, pork, turkey, and seafood. You can serve this coleslaw with burgers, keto sandwiches, and lettuce wraps or with any grilled meat. This coleslaw pairs especially well with pulled chicken or with pulled pork. Dishes such as sausage and peppers or keto fajitas would also be great to serve this coleslaw with. You can also serve it with roasts, steaks, or seafood mains.
