When you want a quick, easy, and delicious dish, this keto tuna spinach salad is an awesome choice! This is a great lunch, brunch, or dinner option. And since this tuna salad comes together in just 15 minutes, you can make it on even your busiest of days! Enjoy!
Let’s talk about our tuna salad ingredients!
For this tuna salad, you can use regular or albacore tuna as both are great options. Albacore tuna has a lighter color and firmer texture than regular tuna. It also has a milder tuna taste. Both regular and albacore tuna are great sources of protein and are low in fat. Since we’re adding a creamy dressing to this salad, I prefer to use tuna packed in water. I recommend draining your tuna well to avoid having a watery salad. To our tuna, we add fresh chopped spinach and diced red onions. I just roughly chop my spinach before adding it to this salad. You can add even more chopped spinach to your salad if you’d like. For the onions, you can substitute with yellow or white onions if you’d prefer. You can also add some diced celery to your tuna salad if you’d like.
How do I make the dressing for this keto tuna spinach salad?
The dressing for this tuna salad comes together quickly, yet is amazingly creamy and flavorful. To create the creamy base for our dressing, we combine both keto mayonnaise and sour cream. I used the Chosen Foods brand avocado oil mayonnaise for my salad. When buying mayonnaise, you’ll want to check nutrition labels to ensure there is no added sugar or other ingredients you don’t want. I love the fresh tangy flavor that sour cream brings to this dressing, but you can substitute with keto Greek yogurt if you’d like. For the lemon juice, you can use fresh or bottled. For seasoning, we’re simply adding garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If you’d like, you can substitute by adding a couple of minced garlic cloves in place of the garlic powder. I also recommend giving your salad a taste and adding more salt and pepper if desired.
What are some ways I can serve this keto tuna spinach salad?

I actually like to serve tuna salad as a fun appetizer using raw vegetables, cheese whisps, keto crackers, or pork rinds as dippers!
