These creamy keto ranch mushrooms are amazingly rich and amazingly flavorful! Enjoy!
Creamy keto ranch mushrooms are a perfect side for all your favorite main dishes! We start by making a homemade ranch seasoning mix to make this dish. We then cook our mushrooms and create an amazingly rich and creamy sauce for them. This is an awesomely delicious and earthy side dish that will get rave reviews every time you serve it!
Let’s talk about our mushrooms!
Mushrooms are a wonderful keto food choice. They are low in calories and in carbs! One cup of mushrooms contains only about 2 net grams of carbs. Mushrooms also provide us with some important nutrients and vitamins along with antioxidants and fiber. There are many varieties of mushrooms, but for this dish I used cremini mushrooms. You may see these labeled as cremini mushrooms or as baby bella mushrooms. White mushrooms, also known as button mushrooms, are also a great choice to use for this dish. I trim the bottom of my mushroom stems but leave the rest of the stems intact. Depending on the size of your mushrooms, you can leave them whole or can cut larger ones in half. When sauteing your mushrooms, you’ll want to add the garlic just during the last minute or so. This is to ensure the garlic will cook but not burn.
What ingredients go into making the sauce for these creamy keto ranch mushrooms?
The sauce for these mushrooms is amazingly creamy and amazingly flavorful. The creamy base for our mushrooms is made using a combination of cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, and sour cream. This creates an incredibly rich sauce for our mushrooms. We also add grated Parmesan cheese to our sauce. For the best results, I recommend buying a wedge of Parmesan cheese and grating it yourself. We then add homemade ranch seasoning to our sauce. I love making homemade seasoning mixes since packaged mixes often contain unwanted ingredients including artificial colors, artificial flavors, maltodextrin, msg, preservatives, and sugar. For our homemade seasoning mix, we combine parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, chives, dill, salt, and pepper. Since all our herbs and spices are dried, you most likely have everything you need to make this homemade ranch seasoning mix in your pantry.
What are some ways I can serve these creamy keto ranch mushrooms?

They also make for a delicious and savory snack! This dish pairs nicely with any kind of meat including beef, chicken, pork, and seafood. You can serve these mushrooms with mains such as burgers, grilled chicken, keto sandwiches, and keto lettuce wraps. They also pair nicely with keto meatloaf, pulled chicken, pulled pork, roasts, and seafood mains. You can serve this dish with all kinds of keto casseroles as well.
