In just 5 minutes, you can have yourself an amazingly delicious keto iced vanilla latte! This recipe makes one large or 2 smaller iced lattes! Enjoy!
This keto iced vanilla latte is rich, creamy, and decadently delicious! I love coffee and usually drink my coffee black. But there are times when a special foofy coffee drink is in order, and this vanilla latte hits the spot! This can be served as 1 large latte coming in at just 5 net grams of carbs, or served as 2 smaller lattes, each coming in at 2.5 net grams of carbs! I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
Let’s talk about coffee!
How do I love coffee? Let me count the ways!☕Coffee is one of my favorite things in the world. I love the smell of coffee beans, the taste of coffee, and the comforting joy of sipping it throughout the day. Oh, and I love coffee mugs too! There are a variety of coffee brands I enjoy, and I love trying different coffees from different parts of the world. For my latte, I used espresso. Espresso is basically concentrated coffee, made by forcing very hot water at high pressure through finely ground coffee beans. It is strong, smooth, and delicious! But don’t worry. If you don’t have an espresso maker, you can still make a great latte. You’ll just want to use very strong coffee.
What other ingredients go into this keto iced vanilla latte?
We use a combination of unsweetened almond milk and heavy whipping cream for our latte. When buying almond milk, make sure you use unsweetened to keep the carb count low. My almond milk contains only one gram of carbs per cup. You could also use unsweetened coconut milk for this latte. Just make sure it’s the kind found in a carton, not in a can. Heavy whipping cream makes this drink incredibly rich and decadent. I used the Swerve brand of keto powdered sugar for my latte. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs. It’s also delicious. If you like a sweeter drink, you can always add a little more keto powdered sugar. A couple of teaspoons of vanilla give our drink a nice vanilla flavor and keeps our drink low in carbs. Ice is all that is needed to make this the ultimate iced latte!
How do you make this keto iced vanilla latte?
This is a quick and easy drink to make, and you have a couple of options for making it. I made mine in a large mason jar. First, you’ll want to make your espresso or strong coffee. If you have time, you can let it cool a bit. Then you simply place all your ingredients, except for the ice, in the jar. Put the lid on, and shake until all ingredients are combined. Add ice and you’re ready to go. You can also place some ice in a glass and pour your latte over the ice. If you’d like, you can also make this in a blender. You’ll want to let your espresso or coffee cool before adding to the blender. Then place all ingredients except ice in the blender, and blend until smooth. Then place some ice in a glass and add your latte.
