These oven baked eggs are a quick, easy, and awesomely delicious way to prepare eggs. This is a great option for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or breakfast for dinner!
I’ve been wanting to make oven baked eggs for quite some time, and I’m so glad I did! These eggs were a huge hit at my house, and I’m adding them to our favorites list. You can easily adjust baking time so your eggs will be done to your desired doneness! I hope you’ll enjoy these eggs as much as we do!
Let’s talk about eggs!
When you want an awesome keto food option, you can’t do much better than eggs! They’re a great keto staple food choice. Eggs are low in calories and carbs; but are rich in nutrients. Eggs contain calcium, choline, folate, lutein, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc, and vitamins A, B, D, E, and K. They’re a good source of protein and good fat! For this recipe, we’re baking our eggs; but they can also be boiled, fried, poached, or scrambled. And when baking, frying, or boiling, you can choose the exact doneness you’d prefer for your eggs. Another great thing about eggs is that it is easy to incorporate them into any number of dishes. You can use eggs to make egg casseroles, frittatas, omelets, quiches, and scrambles. They can also be added to main dish casseroles, to salads and sandwiches, and to stir fry dishes.
Are these oven baked eggs difficult to make?
These eggs are incredibly quick and easy to make, but I do have a few tips for you so yours will come out perfectly every time! First, you’ll want to generously spray your muffin tins with oil spray. This will help ensure your eggs don’t stick to the tins. I used avocado oil spray for mine. When cracking your eggs, you’ll want to make sure the yolks don’t break. After all the eggs are in the tins, you can salt and pepper them to taste. I recommend you start checking your eggs at the 10-minute mark. If they aren’t done to your desired level, you can check them every couple of minutes until they are! For the best results at removing the eggs, I use a plastic knife and run it around the sides of the eggs and a little underneath them if necessary. Then they pop right out!
How can I serve these oven baked eggs?
You have some great keto options for serving these eggs. You can serve these eggs for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or for a quick snack. If you have leftovers, you can re-heat your eggs in the microwave or in a skillet on the stovetop. You can serve your eggs with some keto biscuits or English muffins if you’d like; and could even add some meat and cheese and make a delicious keto breakfast sandwich. These eggs would pair nicely with bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage links or patties, or even steak. You can also add some sliced tomatoes or avocadoes. For toppings, you can top your eggs with shredded cheese, salsa, or sour cream. For a spicy option, you can top your eggs with some diced jalapenos or a dash or two or your favorite hot sauce. These eggs would also make a great addition to any brunch menu.
