This keto crockpot pork green chili is amazingly spicy and full of flavor! Enjoy this as a main dish stew or as a topping for your favorite keto dishes!
When you want a stew that’s amazingly flavorful with a great heat level, this keto crockpot pork green chili will always satisfy. We combine pork loin with some amazing ingredients, including two different kinds of chilies, to make this savory and spicy chili. This makes a lot of pork green chili, and you can easily freeze half if you’d like!
Let’s talk about our pork!
I used a pork loin for my pork green chili. It’s a great cut of meat to use in crockpot recipes because it comes out nice and tender. There are quite a few differences between pork loin and pork tenderloin, mainly the size. Pork tenderloins are smaller and narrower, while pork loins are larger and wider and have a layer of fat on top. Since we’re dicing this pork loin and I like each piece to be similar, I trim some of the fat from my pork. Since we’re browning a lot of pork loin, I suggest doing so in batches. This does take a bit of time, but the results are well worth it! I used avocado oil to saute my pork in, but you can use olive oil if you’d prefer. If you’d like, you could also use a boneless pork shoulder for your stew.
How can I change up the spice level for my keto crockpot pork green chili?
I consider this stew to be medium or just a touch above medium in its spice level. The spice for this chili comes from the chilies we add to it. I used a combination of Hatch green chilies and jalapenos. I used canned chilies for both my chilies. This is a quick and easy option which also adds incredible spice and flavor! All canned green chilies vary in both their heat level and their textures, depending on the brand you choose. Hatch chilies are typically hotter than other green chilies and I love the addition of them in this chili. Jalapenos are generally hotter than Hatch chilies, but this can vary as well. If you want to add more heat to your green chili, you can add hotter peppers such as habanero or serrano peppers. That’s out of my family’s comfort zone,😊but it’s a great option for some!
What are some ways I can serve this keto crockpot pork green chili?
This is an amazingly delicious and filling green chili and be served as a main dish stew. You can top your stew with diced green or red onions, sliced avocados, sour cream, or a little fresh lime juice! If you’d like, you can pair it with a green salad or with some keto biscuits, cornbread, or English muffins. You can also add this green chili to any number of keto dishes. It’s a great topping for burgers, keto sandwiches, and lettuce wraps. It also pairs nicely with egg dishes including fried or scrambled eggs, egg casseroles, frittatas, omelets, or quiches. Another awesome choice is to serve this pork green chili over some cauliflower rice.
