These baked garlic Parmesan wings are amazingly moist and incredibly flavorful! You can serve them as an appetizer, snack, or main!
When you want some impressive wings, these baked garlic Parmesan wings are an excellent choice. Chicken wings are a quintessential comfort food, and when tossed in a buttery garlic Parmesan sauce, they’re elevated to a whole new level of deliciousness. I like to serve these wings as an appetizer, but they also make for a perfect snack or main dish!
Let’s talk about our chicken wings!
Sometimes your wings will be cut and separated into drumettes and wingettes. But often your wings will need to be prepared. To do this, you’ll cut the wings and separate them into drumettes and wingettes while discarding the tips. There are some great you-tube videos which demonstrate how to do this. If you’d prefer, you can also use frozen wings. For our wings, we coat them in a mixture of baking powder, garlic and onion powder, salt, paprika, and pepper. You can either add your wings to a large mixing bowl and toss with the seasoning mixture, or you can add your wings and seasoning to a resealable plastic bag and shake to coat the wings evenly with the seasonings. The most important thing is to ensure your wings are cooked to 165 degrees before tossing them in the sauce and serving them.
How do I make the sauce for these baked garlic Parmesan wings?
The sauce for these wings comes together quickly, but it’s amazingly rich and delicious. We start with sauteing minced garlic in olive oil. This softens the garlic while bringing out amazing flavor from the garlic. I think these wings are perfectly garlicky, but you can add even more garlic if you’d prefer. We then add butter, lots of butter, which adds an awesome richness to our sauce. After the butter melts, we remove the sauce from the heat and stir in our cheese and parsley. For the cheese, I recommend using a fresh block of Parmesan cheese and grating it yourself. This ensures there are no added ingredients, and the cheese melts the best! If you’d like to use fresh parsley in place of the dried, you’ll simply want to add 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley in place of the 2 teaspoons of dried parsley.
What are some ways I can serve these baked garlic Parmesan wings?
You have some great options for serving these wings. I serve my wings just as they are, but you can drizzle some ranch dressing over them if you’d like. I love serving wings as an appetizer and they’re always a huge hit. These wings are great to serve for parties and all kinds of get togethers.
