This is an awesomely delicious and easy recipe your whole family will enjoy!
Let’s talk about the seasoning for our baked lemon pepper chicken leg quarters!
We combine a few simple seasonings for this chicken which results in some amazingly delicious chicken! Our key ingredient is lemon pepper seasoning. Lemon pepper seasoning varies in ingredients depending on the brand you choose, so I recommend you check your nutritional labels and choose a lemon pepper seasoning which contains no added sugar. You can also make your own lemon pepper seasoning if you’d prefer. To our lemon pepper seasoning, we add some garlic powder and onion powder. This helps to balance out our flavors. You could use this spice mixture and add some olive oil and either vinegar or fresh lemon juice to make a quick, easy, and awesomely delicious marinade or salad dressing!
Is this chicken difficult to make?
This is a very easy dish to make, but I do have a few tips for making it! First, you’ll want to spray your baking dish with avocado oil spray, or your favorite oil spray, to keep your chicken from sticking to the dish. Next, I like to sprinkle half my seasoning on the bottom of the dish, then when I place my chicken in the dish, I press it down to easily season the bottom of the chicken. Then simply sprinkle the remaining seasoning evenly over the top of the chicken. Topping our chicken with pats of butter results in an amazing crispy browned crust without adding any carbs. Last, you’ll want the internal temperature of your chicken to reach at least 165 degrees. For this cut of chicken, however, I recommend letting it bake until it reaches 175-185 degrees to create incredibly tender and moist chicken!
What are some ways I can serve these baked lemon pepper chicken leg quarters?
You have some great keto options for serving this chicken. This dish is easy enough to serve for everyday meals, yet elegant enough to serve for holidays or special occasion meals. While your chicken finishes baking, you could start your meal with a keto soup or salad. A Caesar salad is always a wonderful choice.
