Ingredients
- 2 medium broccoli heads (about 5 cups), chopped and cooked
- ¼ cup (4 tablespoons) butter
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
1. Cook or steam broccoli until desired doneness.
2. In a medium pan over medium heat, add butter, cream cheese, heavy cream, nutmeg, pepper, and salt.
3. Cook, whisking frequently, until butter and cream cheese are melted and mixture is creamy and smooth (about 5 minutes).
4. Add shredded cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
5. Plate broccoli and pour sauce over it.
