We then shred our chicken and add bacon and shredded cheese to create an incredibly flavorful dish that is comfort food at its finest.

Let’s talk about our homemade ranch seasoning mix!
I love making homemade seasoning mixes and ranch seasoning mix is one of my favorites. You have some great reasons for making your own seasoning mixes. One of the best reasons is that you can avoid unwanted ingredients often added to mixes. Some of the most common of these include artificial colors and flavors, maltodextrin, msg, preservatives, and sugar. Next, it’s incredibly quick and easy to make your own mixture and it’s also a money saver. Last, when you make your own mixture, you can adjust the seasonings and amounts of them to suit your taste preferences. To make this ranch seasoning mix, we combine parsley, garlic and onion powder, chives, dill, salt, and pepper. And since we’re using dried herbs and spices, you likely have all the ingredients in your pantry! This mixture is equal to 2 packages of ranch seasoning mix.

What other ingredients go into this crockpot cheesy bacon ranch chicken?
I used boneless and skinless chicken breasts to make this delicious chicken dish. Alternately, you can use boneless and skinless chicken thighs to make this dish. Nutritionally, this will increase both the calories and fat in your dish. For amazing creaminess, we add cream cheese to this dish. I always prefer and recommend using full fat cream cheese. We also add bacon and shredded cheese. For the bacon, you can use regular or thick sliced bacon, and you can add even more to this dish if you’d like. For the shredded cheese. I used colby jack cheese, but you can substitute with any easily meltable cheese. Some great options include cheddar, fontina, gouda, gruyere, havarti, mozzarella, provolone, or Swiss cheese. You can also use a combination of these cheeses to make this dish. I highly recommend buying a block of cheese and shredding it yourself.

What are some ways I can serve this crockpot cheesy bacon ranch chicken?
You have some great low carb options for serving this dish. It can be served as an appetizer dip or as a main dish. When serving as a dip, you have some great keto options to use as dippers. Low carb raw vegetables are a perfect choice. Some great options include broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, radishes, and sliced bell peppers. Carrots are a bit higher in carbs, but when eaten in moderation, they’re still a good choice. You can also use cheese whisps, keto crackers, or pork rinds for dippers. Another fun option is to use cheese slices or meats, such as pepperoni or salami, as dippers. When serving this dish as a main, it makes a great filling for a lettuce wrap. You can also make a sandwich using keto bread or buns. I also like to use chaffles or keto English muffins to make low carb sandwiches.
