When you want a quick, easy, and delicious treat, this easy keto iced coffee will always hit the spot!
This easy keto iced coffee is a refreshing and tasty drink that comes together in just 5 minutes. You have some awesome options to customize your coffee for your taste preferences. This drink is a family favorite, and I hope you’ll love it as much as we do!
Let’s talk about our coffee!
You have a couple of great options for the coffee you use to make your iced coffee. One choice is to use a cup of strong brewed coffee. I buy whole bean coffee and grind it myself, but you can use ground coffee if you’d like. When making iced coffee, I like to chill my coffee in a mason jar overnight so it’s nice and cold! If you’d prefer, you can use espresso and add some water to make this iced coffee. If you don’t have time to chill your coffee or your espresso and water, you can let it set out and bring it to room temperature. Then, instead of chilling it, you can add some ice to it to make your iced coffee. Another fun idea is to use coffee to make ice cubes and add some of the coffee ice cubes to this drink!
What other ingredients go into this easy keto iced coffee?
To make this iced coffee, we start by adding heavy whipping cream. Heavy whipping cream is an awesome keto choice. Heavy whipping cream is the cream portion of milk that rises to the top of milk due to its high fat content. You can make this iced coffee by simply combining chilled strong coffee with heavy whipping cream. But if you’d like a sweet version of the drink, you can add some keto powdered sugar. I use the Swerve brand for mine. You can also add some keto maple syrup to your iced coffee, and this is how my daughter prefers hers! You can also add some almond or vanilla extract to your iced coffee. I chill my coffee so I don’t have to add ice, but you can add ice if you’d like. Another fun option is to top your iced coffee with some keto whipped cream.
How do I make homemade keto whipped cream to use as a topping for my easy keto iced coffee?
It is incredibly easy to make your own keto whipped cream! And once you make homemade, you’ll never want anything else as it’s superior in creaminess and in flavor. For the best results, I recommend chilling your bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You’ll beat this mixture until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove your beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. If you’d like, you can easily double this recipe. Also, you can give your whipped cream a taste and add even more powdered sugar. If you’re adventurous, you can also substitute with other extract flavors in place of the vanilla.
