When you want an awesomely delicious and fresh appetizer dip, this easy grape tomato guacamole is the perfect choice!
I love making appetizers and appetizer dips, and this easy grape tomato guacamole disappeared quickly at my house! There are so many delicious ways to use avocados and are also a great variety of ingredients you can use to make guacamole! To this guacamole, we add grape tomatoes which brings awesome fresh and sweet aspects to our dish. This is a pretty and delicious guacamole that I hope you’ll enjoy as much as we do!
Let’s talk about avocados!
Avocados are one of my favorite foods! I try to always have some on hand, in varying stages of ripeness. They’re also a great keto food choice. Since they’re so high in fiber, that makes them an incredibly low carb food. They also provide an awesome source of healthy fat. Another great thing about avocados is the number of ways you can serve them. I love avocados sliced and sprinkled with salt and sometimes with some hot sauce. They make a great addition to all kinds of meals, and they’re a wonderful and filling snack option. For this guacamole, I start by dicing my avocados, then I use a fork to mash some of the pieces while leaving some of pieces whole. You can mash all of your avocado pieces or can leave them as larger pieces if you’d like a chunkier guacamole.
What other ingredients go into this easy grape tomato guacamole?
Although avocados are the star of this dish, they do need a little help to create this awesomely delicious guacamole! For this guacamole, I used grape tomatoes and quartered them. Grape tomatoes are wonderfully tender and sweet. Cherry tomatoes are a great option as well. For reference, cherry tomatoes are a bit sweeter than grape tomatoes. We then add some diced red onions to our guacamole. You can absolutely substitute with yellow onions if you’d prefer. To complete our dish, we add some fresh cilantro and salt. This is a mild guacamole. If you’d like to add some heat, you can add some diced jalapenos to yours. A good thing to know about jalapenos is that the majority of their heat is found in the seeds and membranes, so if you want more heat, you can also add these to your guacamole.
How can I serve this easy grape tomato guacamole?
You have some awesome low carb options for serving this guacamole. Don’t ask me how I know, but it’s quite delicious eaten just as it is in bowl with a big spoon!😊You also have some great low carb dipper options. One of my favorite choices is to use low carb vegetables. Broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, mushrooms, radishes, and sliced bell peppers are all wonderful choices. You can also use cheese whisps, keto crackers, and pork rinds as dippers. Another fun option for dippers is to use sliced cheese or meats, such as pepperoni and sausage. This guacamole is also great to top burgers, keto sandwiches, and lettuce wraps with. You can serve it with keto tacos and fajitas or with most any keto casserole. It’s also awesome served with all kinds of egg dishes.
