You can make your own rich and delicious easy keto frappe at home in just 5 minutes! Enjoy!
This easy keto frappe is a creamy, refreshing, and delicious drink. Spoil yourself with this amazing treat that comes together in just 5 minutes and with just a handful of ingredients. This is also a great drink to serve at parties and for the holidays!
Let’s talk about our espresso!
I love coffee! And I’m talking about a serious love of coffee.😊 It just makes me extremely happy, everything from the aroma of freshly made coffee to the joy of sipping it throughout the day! I normally grind my own beans and drink black coffee. But I also occasionally enjoy an espresso or double espresso. Espresso is basically concentrated coffee which is made by forcing very hot water at a very high pressure through finely ground coffee beans. Because of how it’s brewed, espresso is a strong and extremely smooth coffee drink. We’re adding ½ cup of espresso to our frappe and this recipe makes 2 frappes. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can absolutely still make this drink! You’ll just want to use real strong coffee. You will want to make sure you allow your espresso or strong coffee to cool before adding it to your frappe.
What other ingredients go into our easy keto frappe?
To our espresso, we add just a few simple ingredients; but the result is an awesomely rich and delicious drink. We start with adding a combination of heavy whipping cream and unsweetened almond milk. The heavy whipping cream adds amazing richness to this drink. If you’d like, you could substitute unsweetened coconut milk for the unsweetened almond milk. You’ll just want to make sure you’re using the kind from a carton and not the kind from a can. For the sugar, I used the Swerve brand. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs and is incredibly similar in its sweetness level to regular sugar. You can add more sugar if you’d prefer. We then add a little vanilla which perfectly rounds out our flavors and some ice. If you’d like, you could top your frappe with some keto whipped cream or could sprinkle some cinnamon over it.
How do I make homemade keto whipped cream to top my frappe with?
It’s amazingly easy to make your own keto whipped cream. Once I started making my own, I never wanted anything else since its taste and texture is amazing. I recommend chilling your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You’ll want to beat your mixture until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form stiff peaks which completely hold their shape. If you’d like, you can easily double this recipe. You can also experiment with using different extracts for your whipped cream!
