Easy keto pumpkin fluff comes together in 10 minutes and is amazingly creamy and decadently delicious!
When you want a quick, easy, and awesomely flavorful dessert, this easy keto pumpkin fluff is a perfect choice. We combine just 5 simple ingredients, but they combine to create a dessert that will always satisfy. You can serve this for everyday meals, but it’s also a beautiful dessert that can be served for holiday and special occasion meals.
Let’s talk about pumpkin!
Pumpkin is an awesome keto food choice. It’s relatively low in carbs and calories, and it provides us with some important nutrients. Pumpkin contains iron, manganese, potassium, and vitamins A, C, and E. For this pumpkin fluff, we’re using canned pumpkin. You may also see this labeled as pumpkin puree. You’ll want to make sure you don’t buy canned pumpkin pie mix as it contains a lot of sugar and is quite high in carbs. I love pumpkin and use it to make all kinds of sweet and savory dishes. For sweets, it can be used to make breads, cakes, cheesecakes, mousse, muffins, and pies. It’s also a wonderful addition to lattes and smoothies. Pumpkin also adds amazing flavor to savory dishes and can be used to make sauces, chilis, and soups.
What other ingredients go into this easy keto pumpkin fluff?
Since we’re using plain pumpkin, we need to give it a little extra flavor. We accomplish this by adding pumpkin pie spice. This is one of my favorite spice mixtures and it adds such amazing flavor. I love making mousse and cheesecakes using cream cheese, but for this quick, easy, and light dish, we’re using heavy whipping cream. To sweeten our dessert, we add keto powdered sugar. I used the Swerve brand for mine. It contains zero calories, zero net carbs, and is amazingly similar in its sweetness level to regular sugar. The addition of maple extract gives our pumpkin fluff awesome flavor and enhances the pumpkin flavor as well. You can substitute with vanilla extract if you’d like. This dessert is incredibly delicious served just as it is, but I like to top mine with some homemade keto whipped cream and some cinnamon or fresh grated nutmeg.
How do I make keto whipped cream to use as a topping for my easy keto pumpkin fluff?
It’s incredibly easy to make your own keto whipped cream. Once I started making my own, I never wanted anything else as it’s amazingly creamy and flavorful. I recommend chilling your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl, add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You’ll want to beat your mixture until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. You can also easily double this recipe, just make sure you use a large enough mixing bowl as your mixture will approximately double in size after it’s beaten. If you’d like, you can also use different extract flavors to change the flavor of your whipped cream.
