We absolutely love this easy layered guacamole dip! It’s so pretty and is a wonderful choice to serve for parties or to bring to potlucks! This dip comes together in just 20 minutes, so it’s perfect even when you’re short on time. Get ready for rave reviews every time you serve this delightful dip!
Let’s talk about our guacamole!
I love avocados and almost always have a few setting out on my kitchen island in varying stages of ripeness. They’re a great way to add healthy fats to your diet, and since they contain a lot of fiber, they’re also low in carbs. I like avocadoes sliced and sprinkled with a little salt or hot sauce, but I also love making guacamole with them. For this guacamole, we’re keeping it simple! You can mash your avocados completely or can keep them in larger pieces for a chunkier guacamole. To our avocados, we start by adding diced tomatoes and diced red onions. You can use a Roma or vine ripened tomato for this guacamole. I like to use fresh lime juice, but you can use bottled as well. For seasoning, we’re adding salt, chili powder, and cumin. You can also add some fresh cilantro to your guacamole if you’d like.
How do I make this easy layered guacamole dip?
For the prettiest presentation, I recommend serving this dip in a shallow serving dish. You’ll want to start by adding the guacamole to the dish and using a spoon to smooth it out in the dish. Then we add our sour cream. I used a spoon to spread the sour cream onto the guacamole. You’ll want to leave a border around the edge so the guacamole can be seen around the edges. We then top the sour cream with diced tomatoes, diced red onions, and sliced black olives. I sprinkled a little regular paprika on top of this dish, but you could sprinkle yours with some smoked paprika if you’d rather. If you’d like to add a little heat to your dip, you can sprinkle some diced jalapenos on top of it or you can drizzle a little of your favorite hot sauce over it.
How can I serve this easy layered guacamole dip?
You have some awesome low carb options for serving this dip! It’s amazing just as it is, served in a bowl and eaten with a spoon!😊 But you have some great choices for low carb dippers as well! I love to use raw vegetables as dippers. Broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, mushrooms, and sliced bell peppers and radishes are all super choices. If you’d like, you use cheese whisps, keto crackers, or pork rinds for dippers. Another of our favorites is to serve slices of cheese or meats, such as pepperoni or sliced sausage, alongside appetizer dips to use as dippers! You can also serve this dip as a topping for burgers, keto sandwiches, or lettuce wraps. It can also be added to salads or as a side for keto tacos or fajitas. You can also serve it with any keto casserole or egg dish!
