These hot wings are simply awesome! My son and I came up with this recipe. We hope you love Isaac’s keto hot wings as much as we do!
Hot wings are such an awesome appetizer! They are usually the first to get eaten at our parties! My son, Isaac, particularly loves hot wings. Out of everyone in our family, he is the one who can handle the most heat and spice in his food. Together we came up with this recipe and declared it a winner! Now if we could just agree on the best dressing to go with our wings. I am absolutely convinced that it should be blue cheese dressing. Isaac is just as adamant that it should be ranch!
Let’s talk about preparing fresh wings!
We used fresh wings for this recipe. You can use frozen wings instead if you’d prefer. If you use fresh, you’ll have to cut them to separate them into drumettes and wingettes. You’ll discard the tips. Isaac just did an internet search and watched a how-to video for doing this. He prepared all the wings! I especially enjoyed this part since separating wings is not my favorite job!😊
How do I bake these wings?
Isaac’s keto hot wings are quite easy to bake. They are tossed with olive oil and sprinkled with salt. Bake them for 30 minutes. Flip them and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Ours were done at the one hour mark; but always make sure they’re fully cooked. It’s hard to use a meat thermometer to check wings. You’ll see by our photo that a wing is missing from the pan. We simply cut into one to check if it’s done.
This sauce rocks!
Prepare the sauce while the wings are baking. We started our sauce after the wings had baked for 30 minutes. Toss all sauce ingredients in a medium saucepan. Then just let the sauce simmer and enjoy the aroma that fills your house! Taste your sauce before tossing it with your wings. If you’d like it hotter, you can always add extra hot sauce!
Helpful Hints:
*If you buy fresh wings and need to separate them, you can do a quick search as there are great how-to videos online to help!
*You can add extra hot sauce if you’d like extra hot wings.
