Keto BLT mozzarella bites make for an incredible appetizer or snack option. They come together quickly but are amazingly flavorful. We combine traditional BLT ingredients, but sandwich them between slices of fresh mozzarella! You can serve these for parties, get togethers, potlucks, or anytime you’d like a special and unique treat. Watch out though because these disappear quickly!

Who doesn’t love a good BLT? And you can absolutely make a keto version using keto bread or chaffles. For these delicious bites, we’re using fresh mozzarella as our little “buns” to make an appetizer or snack that includes traditional BLT ingredients! For the mozzarella, you’ll want to use fresh mozzarella that’s shaped into a log. When you cut it, it makes the perfect sized slices for these bites. You’ll want to spread about ¼ teaspoon of mayonnaise onto each mozzarella slice. You can make your bacon to be as soft or as crispy as you’d like. I used vine ripened tomatoes, but Roma tomatoes would work well too. If so, depending on their size, you may need to add two slices to each mozzarella bite. A slice of iceberg lettuce also gets added to each bite. If you’d like, you can sprinkle a little black pepper over your bites.

These bites are so fun and easy to make, but there are a few things you can do to make sure yours turn out perfect every time. First, if your mozzarella is at all wet, you’ll want to use a paper towel to dry it before cutting it into slices. This will make it much easier to make bites that are easy to handle. Next, you’ll want to cut each slice of cooked bacon in half so it fits nicely in the bites. You can use a different kind of lettuce or can even use fresh spinach to make your bites, you’ll just want to make sure they’re cut to fit into these bites. I used appetizer bamboo forks to help these bites hold together. A couple other great options for this is to use small skewers or large toothpicks to help hold your bites together.

So, they definitely make for a super snack option.😊They’re also a perfect appetizer and will be a bit hit every time you serve them. I called two mozzarella bites one serving; but if you’re serving them for parties or get togethers with other appetizers and other food, a serving could be one bite. These mozzarella bites are also a great appetizer choice for holiday meals and for special occasion meals. Keto BLT Mozzarella Bites
These keto BLT mozzarella bites are as delicious as they are adorable! They’re perfect for parties and will be a big hit every time you serve them!
Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 12 ounces fresh mozzarella log
- 4 teaspoons keto mayonnaise
- 8 slices tomato
- 8 small pieces iceberg lettuce
- Optional: sprinkle with black pepper
Instructions
1. Fry bacon until desired crispness. Alternately cook in oven to desired crispness. Drain on paper towels.
2. While bacon is cooking, slice mozzarella into 16 slices.
3. Top each mozzarella slice with ¼ teaspoon mayonnaise.
4. Top 8 slices of mozzarella with 1 tomato slice. Cut each slice of bacon in half and place two pieces on top of each tomato slice. Top each with one pice of lettuce.
5. Top each bite, mayonnaise side down, with remaining slices of mozzarella.
6. If desired, sprinkle bites with black pepper.
7. Secure each bite with a bamboo fork, small skewer, or appetizer toothpick for serving if desired.
Notes
It's a little messy, but if you'd like, you could drizzle a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar over your mozzarella bites.
