This keto celery seed vinaigrette is so quick and easy to make. It’s also amazingly flavorful!
It takes just minutes to make this keto celery seed vinaigrette. This vinaigrette contains an awesome tangy flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s perfect for all your favorite salads and can also be used as a dressing for coleslaw or as a delicious marinade.
Let’s talk about our oil and vinegar!
I used avocado oil and white wine vinegar to make this vinaigrette. Avocado oil is an awesome keto choice, as it is an incredibly healthy source of fat. You can substitute olive oil in place of avocado oil if you’d prefer. You also have some awesome options for the vinegar you use to make this vinaigrette. I used white wine vinegar to make my vinaigrette, but champagne vinegar would be a great choice as well. You can even use apple cider vinegar to make this vinaigrette. The classic ratio for vinaigrettes is 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar, but you’ll see many different ratios used to make a variety of different types of vinaigrettes. For this vinaigrette, we’re keeping pretty close to the classic ratio in using ½ cup of oil and 3 tablespoons of vinegar.
What other ingredients go into this keto celery seed vinaigrette?
We add just a few simple but incredibly delicious ingredients to our oil and vinegar to make this vinaigrette, and you likely have most or all of these in your pantry! We start by adding keto granulated sugar. I used the Swerve brand as it contains zero calories and zero net carbs. It’s also quite similar in its sweetness level to regular sugar. To add incredible flavor to our vinaigrette, we combine celery seeds, dry mustard, salt, and pepper to make a delicious homemade seasoning mix. To make this vinaigrette, you can either add all the ingredients to a mason jar and shake to combine or you can add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Once your vinaigrette is done, you can give it a taste and adjust ingredients to your taste preference. You can add more keto sugar or more salt and pepper.
What are some ways I can serve this keto celery seed vinaigrette?
You have some awesome low carb options for serving this vinaigrette. It’s perfect to serve with all kinds of green salads using either lettuce or spinach. I love chopping iceberg or romaine lettuce and placing it in a big serving bowl. Then I serve it with our favorite salad toppings. These include bacon, diced tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, shredded cheese, sliced avocados, and sliced cucumbers. This vinaigrette can also be used as an awesome coleslaw dressing. To make coleslaw, you can use bagged coleslaw mix. When I make my own coleslaw mix, I combine approximately 5 cups of chopped green cabbage with 1 cup of chopped red cabbage. I then add about 2-4 tablespoons of grated carrots which adds awesome color and flavor. You can also use this vinaigrette as a marinade for all kinds of meats. This vinaigrette is also delicious drizzled over cooked meats and vegetables.
