These keto cheddar garlic biscuits are a delicious incredible low carb bread option. They are so quick and easy, I think you’ll want to make them often!
I think you are going to love these keto cheddar garlic biscuits. In less than half an hour, you can have these light and airy biscuits on your table to serve with your favorite dishes. If you thought going low carb and keto meant you had to give up your favorites, such as biscuits, this recipe will show you otherwise! These biscuits contain just 2 net grams of carbs each and are delicious!
Let’s talk about the ingredients for these keto cheddar garlic biscuits!
The dry ingredients for these biscuits include almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Here’s your fun fact for the day. Almond flour is ground blanched almonds while almond meal is ground unblanched almonds. Blanched simply means the skins have been removed. Almond flour is finer and lighter. It is what I use for most recipes. The wet ingredients for this recipe include eggs, butter, and sour cream. I think the combination of butter and sour cream make for the perfect soft and moist biscuit! I used a mild cheddar cheese for my biscuits. You could use a medium or sharp cheddar if you’d like.
Are these biscuits hard to make?
You won’t believe how quick and easy this recipe is! First, simply add all the dry ingredients to a medium mixing bowl. Stir to combine the dry ingredients. Then, in a separate small bowl, whisk your eggs. Add your sour cream and melted butter and whisk until combined. You’ll have some small lumps of sour cream and that’s normal. Add your shredded cheese and stir to combine. I prefer to shred my own cheese. There are usually additives in pre-shredded cheese that I don’t want. Also, I like how my shredded cheese combines and melts. Add your egg mixture to your dry ingredients and stir until combined.
The mixture will be thick. I line my sheet pan with parchment paper for easy clean up and to ensure nothing sticks to the pan. These biscuits spread a little so leave some room in between biscuits. I like my biscuits just as they are! My husband likes melted butter drizzled over his! Try them both ways and I’m sure you’ll pick a favorite.
How can I serve these keto cheddar garlic biscuits?
These biscuits work well for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! They complement so many meals. They make a great addition to a plate of bacon and eggs. Serve these with your favorite salad for a real treat. These biscuits are also awesome served with your favorite chili, soup, or stew! You can eat these as a snack as well. You could even slice them horizontally and use them as bread to make a keto sandwich! These biscuits reheat well. I simply microwave one or two at a time for about 20 seconds. You can store these in a covered container at room temperature for a couple of days, or store in a covered container in the refrigerator and they’ll last about a week.
