This keto chocolate pumpkin cheesecake mousse is rich, creamy, and delicious! This is an awesome treat for Autumn or any time you’d like a special treat. If you want even more decadence, you can top your mousse with some keto whipped cream! Enjoy!
Let’s talk about our ingredients!
This mousse contains just a few simple but delicious ingredients. We start with cream cheese which gives our mousse incredible creaminess and richness. Cream cheese is a great keto food choice as it provides an excellent source of fat while also being relatively low in carbs. For your pumpkin, you’ll want to make sure you’re using pumpkin labeled as pumpkin puree or 100% pumpkin. But you’ll want to make sure you’re not using pumpkin pie mix as this contains sugar and is high in carbs. I used the Swerve brand for my powdered sugar as it’s delicious and contains zero calories and zero net carbs. For our chocolate, we’re using unsweetened cocoa powder. We add pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of salt to give our mousse the perfect spice level. Vanilla rounds out our flavors and the heavy whipping cream brings amazing lightness to our mousse.
Is this keto chocolate pumpkin cheesecake mousse difficult to make?
This mousse is quick and easy to make, yet results in an awesomely creamy and delicious dessert. You’ll want to start with softened cream cheese and beat it for about a minute before adding any other ingredients. Then you’ll want to add your pumpkin, keto powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt and beat until your mixture is creamy and smooth. I like to sift my cocoa powder to ensure there are no lumps in my mousse. One of the great things about this dessert is that you don’t have to beat your heavy whipping cream separately. You simply add the heavy whipping cream to your cream cheese mixture with some vanilla and beat for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens. You can then serve your mousse immediately, or you can make it ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to serve.
What are some ways I can serve this keto chocolate pumpkin cheesecake mousse?
This mousse is delicious and can be served as is for a perfect keto dessert! If you’d like, you can also top it with some keto whipped cream or some keto pumpkin whipped cream. To make your own keto whipped cream, you’ll want to chill a medium mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream with 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. If making pumpkin whipped cream, you’ll add ¼ cup pumpkin, an additional 1 tablespoon of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to your mixture. You’ll want to beat your mixture until stiff peaks form. When serving, you can sprinkle your mousse with some additional keto powdered sugar if you’d like or with some ground cinnamon.
