This keto chocolate raspberry cheesecake smoothie is a rich and decadent treat that will always satisfy! Enjoy!
You can serve this keto chocolate raspberry cheesecake smoothie for breakfast, for a snack, or even for a delicious dessert option. It only takes a few minutes to make this smoothie, so you can have one any time you’d like. Sometimes I make a double batch of smoothies and store them in a big pitcher so we can enjoy them for days!
Let’s talk about the ingredients in our keto chocolate raspberry cheesecake smoothie!
For our rich and creamy base, we combine cream cheese, unsweetened almond milk, and heavy whipping cream. You will want to let your cream cheese soften before using. If you’d like, you can substitute unsweetened coconut milk in place of the unsweetened almond milk. You’ll just want to make sure you’re using the kind in a carton and not the kind in a can. For your raspberries, you can use either fresh or frozen for this smoothie. I used the Swerve brand for my sugar. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs. It’s also delicious and its sweetness level is quite similar to regular sugar. You can give your smoothie a taste and add even more sugar if you’d prefer. Our chocolate flavor comes from unsweetened cocoa powder. We then add vanilla and salt to round out the flavors in our smoothie.
Why would I want to make my own smoothies?
There are some great reasons for making your own smoothies! First, they’re quick and easy to make. You simply toss everything into a blender and blend until combined. Next, when you make your own smoothies, you’ll know exactly what goes into them and can avoid unwanted ingredients. One of the best reasons for making your own smoothies is that you can customize the ingredients to your liking. My husband loves to have a smoothie for breakfast, so I’m always playing around with ingredients and different extracts to come up with different flavors for him. Since they have similar carb counts, you could also substitute blackberries or strawberries, or use a combination of berries for your smoothie. You can also add more or less sugar. You can even add fun things to your smoothies such as nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, and nut butters, just to name a few!
How do I make homemade keto whipping cream to use as a topping for my keto chocolate raspberry cheesecake smoothie?
It’s amazingly easy to make homemade keto whipping cream. Once I started making my own, I’ve never used anything else as it’s superior in both taste and texture. I recommend you chill your mixing bowl and beaters for 15-20 minutes before using. Then, you your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heaving whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You’ll then want to beat the mixture until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. If you’d like, you can use different extract flavors, such as almond or maple, to change up the flavor in you whipped cream. You can also easily double this whipped cream recipe!
