You can serve this keto dill pickle ranch dressing as a delicious dressing or as an appetizer dip! We combine keto mayonnaise with sour cream, dill pickles and pickle juice, then add a homemade ranch dressing mix to make this awesome dressing. This is a fun, delicious, and unique dressing I hope you’ll love as much as we do!
Let’s talk about the ingredients in our keto dill pickle ranch dressing!
I love ranch dressing and I love dill pickles, so combining the two was an awesome choice that my whole family enjoyed! For the creamy base to our dressing, we combine keto mayonnaise and sour cream. I used the Chosen Foods brand avocado oil mayonnaise for my dressing. When choosing your mayo, you’ll want to check ingredients to make sure there is no added sugar or additional ingredients you don’t want. For my sour cream, I like to use full fat sour cream for its richness and flavor. The same goes for your dill pickles and pickle juice. I’m sure everyone has their favorite brand of pickles. I’m a huge fan of Claussen dill pickles and particularly love their mini dill pickles.😊 To these ingredients, we add an awesome homemade ranch dressing mix to make this dressing.
Why would I want to make my own homemade ranch dressing mix?
There are some awesome reasons you’d want to make your own ranch dressing mixture. First, packaged seasoning mixes often contain extra ingredients you don’t want or need in your mix. Some of these include artificial colors and flavors, maltodextrin, msg, preservatives, and sugar, just to name a few. When you make your own seasoning mix, you can avoid all of these. Next, it’s quick and easy to make your own ranch seasoning mix and it’s simply delicious! For our ranch dressing mixture, we combine parsley, garlic and onion powder, chives, dill, salt, and pepper. One of the other great things about making your own seasoning mixes is that you can adjust ingredients and the amounts of ingredients for your taste preference. You can add more garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and could even add additional spices and herbs to make this seasoning your own!
How can I serve this keto dill pickle ranch dressing?
This dressing can be served as a dressing or as a dip! As a dressing, it can be served with any green salad. Some great keto options for greens include any kind of lettuce. My favorite lettuce is iceberg, but some other wonderful options include arugula, butter, green or red leaf lettuce, radicchio, romaine, or a spring mix. You can also use kale or spinach to make a delicious salad. For a dip, you can serve this with low carb dippers. Raw vegetables are always a good choice. Some great options include broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cherry or grape tomatoes, mushrooms, or sliced bell peppers or radishes. Cheese whisps, keto crackers, or pork rinds also work perfectly for dippers, as do cheese slices and meats such as pepperoni or salami.

Are the herbs dried or fresh? Excited to try this!
Lisa
Hi Jessica, for this dressing I used all dried herbs. If you’d like to use fresh, the general rule is to use about 3 times as much fresh in place of the dried. I’m excited for you to try this dressing!

Thank you! Just made this and it’s so easy and delish! I think this will be my new go to salad dressing. So much better (and healthier) than anything you can buy in the store!
Lisa
Jessica, I’m so happy you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for the kind words. You made my day!
