When you want an amazingly delicious whipped cream, this keto espresso whipped cream is a perfect choice. This coffee flavored whipped cream is the perfect topping for all your favorite keto desserts. It comes together in just 10 minutes, so you can make it any time you’d like a low carb sweet treat!
Let’s talk about the ingredients in this keto espresso whipped cream!
I love making homemade keto whipped cream. It’s quick and easy to make and far superior in taste and in its creaminess to anything else! Plus, when you make your own whipped cream, you can be assured there are no added ingredients you don’t want. Basic keto whipped cream contains heavy whipping cream, keto powdered sugar, and vanilla. For this espresso whipped cream, we use those basic ingredients and then add espresso powder. Heavy whipping cream is a great keto option for all kinds of dishes as it adds good fat without adding a lot of carbs! For my sugar, I used the Swerve brand. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs, and it’s delicious. Espresso powder is ground espresso beans which have been brewed and dried, then ground into a fine powder. It’s very concentrated and brings amazing coffee flavor to this whipped cream.
How do I make this keto espresso whipped cream?
This whipped cream takes just minutes to make, but there are a few things you can do to ensure yours turns out perfectly! I recommend chilling your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. You also want your heavy whipping cream to be as cold as possible, so you’ll want to keep it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it. When you whip your heavy whipping cream it will close to double in size, so you’ll want to choose a large enough mixing bowl for this. To your chilled bowl, you’ll add all your ingredients and beat them until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove your beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. At this point you can serve your whipped cream, or you can refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve it.
What are some ways I can serve this keto espresso whipped cream?
You have some awesome low carb options for serving this whipped cream. It’s amazingly delicious as a sweat treat served for a snack or dessert just as it is! If you’d like you can top your whipped cream with a grated espresso bean or two or with some grated keto chocolate. I like to simply grate some Lily’s chocolate chips on top of this whipped cream. There are any number of keto desserts you can top with this whipped cream as well. Some great options include keto brownies, cakes, cheesecakes, ice cream, mousses, pies, sweet breads, and trifles. It can also be used to top chaffles and keto pancakes or waffles. Drop a dollop or two into your coffee, espresso, keto hot chocolate, or lattes to make an awesome drink even more special! Another great option is to use this whipped cream as a topping for smoothies.
