When you want a rich, creamy, and decadent chocolate treat, this keto frosty is an awesome choice! Enjoy!
If you don’t tell them, no one would ever guess this keto frosty is low carb! We combine just a few simple but delicious ingredients to make this amazingly rich and creamy drink. It only takes 10 minutes to make, then 30 minutes to chill, so you can enjoy this treat any time you’d like!
Let’s talk about the ingredients in our keto frosty!
The creamy base for our frosty is heavy whipping cream. This helps to create the perfect rich and creamy consistency for our frosty. To our heavy whipping cream, we add unsweetened almond milk. This thins out our mixture just a bit to give it the perfect consistency. You will want to make sure you’re using unsweetened almond milk. We then add keto powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. I used the Swerve brand for my sugar. It contains zero calories and zero net carbs, and it’s delicious! I love the rich flavor of Rodelle’s cocoa powder, but you can use your favorite for your frosty. Vanilla and salt round out the flavors in our frosty and enhance the flavors of the other ingredients!
How do I make this frosty?
This is an incredibly easy drink to make, but I do have a few tips for making it. First, you’ll beat your heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Soft peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form peaks, but the peaks don’t hold their shape. Then you’ll add the rest of your frosty ingredients. I like to sift my cocoa powder before adding to ensure there won’t be any lumps of cocoa powder in the frosty. I first made my frosty with ⅓ cup of powdered sugar; but we all agreed it wasn’t quite sweet enough, so I added more and ended up using ½ cup and it was perfect. If you’d like, you can always start with a little less sugar and add more to achieve your perfect sweetness level! Last, you’ll want to chill your frosty for about 30 minutes and then stir it before serving.
How can I serve this keto frosty?
This frosty is amazingly creamy and delicious and can be served as is. If you’d like, you can also top your frosty with some chocolate shavings or some keto whipped cream. I like to simply grate keto chocolate chips over mine. It’s easy to do and makes for a very pretty presentation. It’s also incredibly easy to make your own keto whipped cream. I recommend chilling your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then, to your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You’ll then beat this until stiff peaks form. Stiff peaks mean when you remove the beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. You can also easily double this recipe for homemade keto whipped cream if you’d like.

Hi Sherry! You’re welcome and I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Made it for the first time and it came out okay, I think I just over beat the heavy cream. Made a nice mess too, while I was at it . The only thing I would complain about is the texture, but again, I think I just over did it on the heavy cream. Would definitely make it again!

Hi Lauren, yes overbeating can change the texture. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
