You’ll get rave reviews every time you serve this creamy and delicious keto pimento cheese ball! Enjoy!
This keto pimento cheese ball is a perfect appetizer for parties, potlucks, and all kinds of get togethers. I think cheese balls are a quintessential appetizer that constitutes comfort food at its simplest and finest! This cheese ball is incredibly easy to make and it’s also incredibly flavorful!
Let’s talk about our ingredients!
We use three different types of cheese to make this cheese ball. We combine cream cheese with shredded colby jack and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. I recommend using full fat cream cheese for this cheese ball. For the cheese, you can use all colby jack or any kind of cheddar cheese. I prefer sharp cheddar, but mild or medium cheddar would work great too. For extra creaminess, we add a little mayonnaise. When buying mayonnaise, you’ll want to check ingredients to make sure there is no added sugar or oils you don’t want. You can also use homemade mayonnaise. I love the color, flavor, and texture that the diced pimentos bring to this cheese ball and it’s such a fun and pretty addition! To add even more flavor to this cheese ball, we add tamari, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Last, we roll our cheese ball in chopped pecans.
How do I make this keto pimento cheese ball?
This cheese ball is incredibly easy to make, but there are a few things you can do to make sure yours turns out perfectly! First, you’ll want to start with softened cream cheese to ensure everything is easy to mix together. Next, for the shredded cheese, I highly recommend you buy blocks of cheese and shred them yourself. This creates the creamiest cheese ball, and you can be assured there are no added ingredients you don’t want. When shaping the cheese ball, I place the cheese ball mixture onto the middle of a large piece of plastic wrap. Then as I wrap the cheese ball in the plastic wrap, I form it into a ball. Alternately, you can shape your cheese ball into a log shape if you’d prefer. Last, you’ll want to refrigerate your cheese ball at least an hour before rolling it in chopped pecans.
