Let’s talk about the delicious ingredients used in this recipe!
I used a combination of brown and white sugar for these spiced nuts. My favorite brand of keto sweetener is Swerve. It contains zero calories, zero net carbs, and tastes great! Pumpkin pie spice and a little salt gives these nuts a burst of flavor that can’t be beat! You only need one egg white and some vanilla to coat the nuts allowing the sugars to stick to them. I love the combination of pecans and walnuts for this recipe, but you could use all pecans or all walnuts if you’d prefer!
Are these keto pumpkin pie spiced candied nuts difficult to make?
After you make and taste these nuts, you’ll be amazed how easy the recipe is and how delicious the results are! People will think you spent hours making these treats. Simply add the sugars and spices to a bowl and stir to combine. Then beat your egg white and vanilla until the egg white is frothy. Add the nuts to the egg white mixture and stir until the nuts are coated. Add the sugar mixture and stir to completely combine the nuts with the sugars. Then bake the nuts for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes or so. That’s it. It’s that easy!
Do you have any advice for making these keto pumpkin pie spiced candied nuts?
There are a few things you can do to ensure these nuts come out perfectly every time. First, use a large baking sheet so that your nuts don’t overlap on the sheet. Then, line your baking sheet with parchment paper so the nuts don’t stick to the pan and you can easily stir them. When you add the nuts to the egg white mixture, make sure all the nuts are coated well. This will ensure the sugar mixture sticks to the nuts. Stir your nuts every 15 minutes or so while baking. After letting your nuts cool, you can easily break apart any nuts that are stubborn and stick together.😊
What are some good ways to serve these nuts?
These nuts are a wonderful appetizer. Your family and friends will love munching on these delightful treats. They also work great for a quick and easy keto snack you can eat at home or take with you wherever you go. You can even serve these along with your desserts for an additional sweets option.
