These keto ranch roasted nuts are incredibly flavorful and satisfying. We start with a homemade ranch seasoning mix which takes these nuts over the top in flavor. It takes just 30 minutes to make these awesome nuts, so you can make them on even your busiest of days. These are great for snacking or make for an awesome food gift for family and friends.
Let’s talk about our homemade ranch seasoning!
Our ranch seasoning is quick and easy to make, and it’s incredibly delicious. We combine parsley, garlic and onion powder, chives, dill, salt, and pepper to make our ranch seasoning mix. I used all dried herbs and spices to make this mix. You have some great reasons for making your own ranch seasoning. First, packaged mixes often contain unwanted ingredients such as artificial colors and flavors, maltodextrin, msg, preservatives, and sugar. Next, it’s amazingly quick and easy to make your own mix. You can also make a larger batch, so you’ll always have some available when you want it. Last, when you make your own ranch seasoning, you can adjust ingredients and amounts of ingredients to suit your taste preferences. You can also add additional herbs and spices to your mix if you’d like.
What kind of nuts can I use to make these keto ranch roasted nuts?
You have some great options for the types of nuts you use to make these roasted nuts. I used pecans, walnuts, almonds, and peanuts because these are some of our favorite nuts. I especially love the ridges found with pecans and walnuts because the ranch seasoning adheres so well to these nuts. My pecans, walnuts, and almonds were unsalted, and my peanuts were salted. You can use the nuts and amounts of each nut as written, or you can change the kind and the amounts you use. Whatever nut mixture you use, you’ll want to end up with about 5 cups of nuts in total. Some other additional options for nuts include Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts. Cashews and pistachio nuts are quite a bit higher in their carb counts than other nuts, so I tend to avoid them or eat them in much smaller quantities.
Do you have any tips for making these keto ranch roasted nuts?
These nuts are ridiculously easy to make, but there are a few things you can do to ensure yours come out perfectly every time. First, you’ll want to choose a baking sheet large enough so your nuts can be placed in a single layer on the sheet. I also recommend lining the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up. Next, when you add your avocado oil to the nuts, you’ll want to toss well so all the nuts are coated in the oil. Then when you add the ranch seasoning mix, you’ll want to toss until the nuts are evenly coated with the seasoning mix. In order to avoid burning your nuts, you’ll want to roast them at 325 degrees. You’ll also want to stir them after they’ve roasted for 10 minutes, then roast them for 10 additional minutes.
