We’re just wild about this keto strawberry banana fluff! It’s full of strawberry and banana flavors! And since this dish comes together so quickly, you can make it on even your busiest of days! You can serve this as is or can top it with some keto whipped cream!
Let’s talk about cream cheese!
Cream cheese is a great keto food choice for a variety of reasons! It’s relatively low in carbs and is a great way to get fats into your day. Cream cheese is made from cow’s milk and it originated in America. Taste wise, cream cheese has an awesome tangy element to it. Fun fact for the day, in order to be classified as cream cheese, it must contain at least 33% fat with less than 55% moisture content. One of the greatest things about cream cheese is that it can be used in sweet or savory dishes. It’s awesome when used to make things such as cheese balls or cold appetizer dips. It can also be added to hot dips and sauces to make them incredibly creamy. For sweets, you can use cream cheese to make all kinds of dishes, including cheesecakes, mousses, and smoothies!
How do I make this keto strawberry banana fluff?
This dessert comes together quickly, but there are a few things you can do so yours turns out perfectly! First, you’ll want to start with softened cream cheese. This will help ensure your fluff will be creamy and without any large lumps of cream cheese. Next, for the strawberries, I like to use frozen strawberries and just allow them to set out and thaw slightly before pureeing them. I used a mini food processor to puree mine, but you can use a blender if you’d like. After adding the pureed strawberries, vanilla, and salt, you’ll beat until your mixture is combined. Then you’ll just add the heavy whipping cream and beat until your fluff is creamy and thickened. Last, this fluff turns out to be light pink in color. I added a couple of drops of red food coloring to mine, but you can omit this if you’d prefer.
How do I make keto whipped cream to top this keto strawberry banana fluff with?
It’s incredibly quick and easy to make your own keto whipped cream. And it’s so creamy and delicious, once I started making my own I never wanted anything else. I recommend chilling your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before using. Then to your chilled bowl, you’ll add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of keto powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. A good thing to know is that your mixture will basically double in size as you beat it, so you’ll want to choose a mixing bowl large enough to account for this. You’ll want to beat your whipped cream until stiff peaks form. This means when you remove the beaters, they form peaks which completely hold their shape. You can give your whipped cream a taste and add even more powdered sugar if you’d like it sweeter.
