In some reserved bacon grease, we then saute both diced green and red peppers and diced onions. I like to saute my vegetables just until they start to soften. To our vegetables, we add fresh lime juice, tomato paste, and keto fajita seasoning. I used fresh lime juice, but you can substitute with bottled lime juice if you’d prefer. I used my favorite homemade keto fajita seasoning for this cabbage dish. It’s my go-to fajita seasoning and I add it to all kinds of dishes. Alternately, you can use your favorite fajita seasoning for this dish. You will want to check your nutritional labels to ensure there are no added ingredients you don’t want in your seasoning mix.

Low Carb Bacon Fajita Cabbage Skillet
This low carb bacon fajita cabbage skillet is an amazingly delicious and satisfying side dish! Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 8 ounces bacon
- ⅓ cup diced green peppers
- ⅓ cup diced red peppers
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1½ tablespoons keto fajita seasoning
- ½ medium head green cabbage, chopped
- ½ small head red cabbage, chopped
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon to a plate. Discard all but 2 tablespoons bacon grease.
2. In same large skillet, over medium heat, saute peppers and onion in reserved bacon grease until vegetables start to soften, about 5 minutes.
3. Add lime juice, tomato paste, and fajita seasoning. Stir to combine.
4. Add cabbage and stir carefully to combine. Skillet will be full.
5. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage reaches desired tenderness level.
Notes
You can use homemade keto fajita seasoning or your favorite fajita seasoning for this dish.
