What ingredients are in these low carb mint chocolates?
These little beauties contain just 7 ingredients! The flavor combination that results is quite impressive though! First, we start with keto semi-sweet chocolate chips. I used Lily’s, but you can use any keto brand you’d like. Next, I combined coconut oil and butter to help create a perfect smooth and creamy texture. 2 tablespoons of heavy cream are added to give these chocolates the ideal consistency. Peppermint extract provides the mint flavor and vanilla extract enhances the sweetness for these chocolates. I love the addition of just a bit of salt in my chocolates, so I added just a touch to these.
Why should I make my own chocolates?
The best way to ensure you’re getting low carb keto chocolates is to make your own. This way, you can know exactly what is going into your chocolates and can vouch for every ingredient in them.😉Plus, these chocolates are quick and easy to make! Do you have any tips for making these low carb mint chocolates?
These chocolates are quick and easy to make; but I do have a few tips to ensure yours come out perfectly! First, line your mini muffin tins with paper liners so you can easily remove the chocolates. Next, I chose to microwave my chocolate with butter and coconut oil. It’s quick and easy. You can use a double boiler to melt yours if you’d prefer to do it that way. Last, let your chocolates set up in the freezer for about an hour to allow them to set up completely. Then you can store in a covered container in either the freezer or refrigerator.
