These olive oil scrambled eggs are amazingly creamy and delicious! They’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, or for a special breakfast for dinner meal!
It’s always great to have a variety of egg recipes, and these olive oil scrambled eggs are such a fun variation to scrambled eggs. They’re tasty and incredibly creamy scrambled eggs. I hope you’ll love these eggs as much as we do!
Let’s talk about olive oil!
For my oils, I mainly stick with avocado, coconut, and olive oil. And when we substitute olive oil for butter when making these scrambled eggs, it results in extra rich and creamy eggs. When buying olive oil, you’ll see different kinds. I use extra virgin olive oil for my dishes. It has incredibly rich and deep flavors. Extra virgin olive oil is different from regular olive oil in that it’s unrefined. This means when it’s prepared, instead of being heated, it’s cold pressed and isn’t processed with any chemicals. I love visiting olive oil shops where you can try all kinds of olive oils from different regions of the world, and they can vary quite a bit in price. Don’t worry because you don’t have to buy overly expensive olive oil to get high quality. In fact, the Kirkland brand of organic extra virgin olive oil is my go-to choice!
Can I add any other ingredients to my olive oil scrambled eggs?
This is a basic recipe for scrambled eggs which contains just 3 simple ingredients, eggs, salt, and pepper. Yep, that’s it and it results in amazingly delicious scrambled eggs. But you also have some great low carb options to add to your eggs. A nice choice is to add some diced bell peppers and onions to your eggs. If you’d like to add some heat, you can add some diced jalapenos. You can add all kinds of fresh herbs to your eggs as well. Some great choices include basil, chives, oregano, parsley, tarragon, and thyme. You can also add almost any spices you’d like. I like to make my husband Mediterranean eggs, and do so by adding diced red onions and tomatoes, along with some feta cheese. You can also add meats such as cooked bacon or sausage, or you can add some shredded cheese to make cheesy eggs!
What are some ways I can serve these olive oil scrambled eggs?
You have some awesome options for serving these eggs. They’re perfect for breakfast, brunch, or breakfast for dinner! You can serve your eggs with some sliced avocados or sliced tomatoes. You can also top them with guacamole or sour cream. A side of bacon, sausage links or patties, or ham are some other delicious choices. For an even heartier meal, you could serve your eggs with a big steak! If you’d like, you can also serve your eggs with some keto biscuits or English muffins. Yum! Some other super choices include serving your scrambled eggs with a side of sauteed kohlrabi or rutabaga. To add a sweet element, you can serve your eggs with some berries or some keto Greek yogurt.
