Let’s talk about our making this bacon!
This is such a fun and easy bacon recipe. If you have children, it’s a great way to get them involved in cooking. I used regular bacon, but you could also use thick cut bacon if you’d like. To twist the bacon, you simply hold one end of the bacon, then use your other hand to twist it. Don’t worry about how loose or tight you twist it, just have fun doing it! I placed my bacon directly onto my rimmed baking sheet. Alternately, you can line your baking sheet with parchment paper if you’d like. I don’t preheat my oven when cooking this bacon in the oven. I simply place the bacon into a cold oven, then set the temperature to 375 degrees and bake it until it reaches my desired crispness level. The center of the bacon will remain soft while the edges become nice and crispy.

How do I make homemade ranch dip to serve with my oven baked twisted bacon?
It’s incredibly quick and easy to make homemade ranch dip. We start with a homemade ranch seasoning mix. Our mix is made by combining 1 tablespoon of parsley with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and onion powder, ½ teaspoon of chives and dill, and ¼ teaspoon of salt and pepper. To this we create an incredibly rich and creamy mixture by combining keto mayonnaise and sour cream. I used the Chosen Foods brand avocado oil mayonnaise to make my dip. When choosing mayonnaise, you’ll want to check your nutritional labels to ensure there is no added sugar or other ingredients you don’t want in your mayonnaise. To make this dip, you simply combine the mayonnaise with the sour cream, then stir in the ranch seasoning. If you’d like to add a little heat to your dip, you can add a dash or two of your favorite hot sauce to it.
