In just ten minutes, you can have a rich and decadent chocolate dessert that will satisfy your sweet cravings. And this quick chocolate mousse is low carb and keto! You’ll want to make this one often!
It’s important to have some quick and easy dessert options to assist you with staying on a low carb keto plan. No one will even know this is a low carb dessert if you don’t tell them. It is rich, thick, creamy, and absolutely delicious!
Let’s talk about espresso powder!
Instant espresso powder is something I try to always have stocked in my pantry. It gives a deep rich flavor to so many chocolate desserts; and you only have to add a teaspoon or two to make a big difference in taste. It’s a good “secret” ingredient to add that extra boost to your favorite chocolate recipes! If you don’t have espresso powder, you can omit it from this recipe and you’ll still have an awesome dessert. I used Delallo instant espresso powder in this quick keto chocolate mousse recipe. If you can’t find espresso powder, you can order it here.
Helpful Hints:
*Make sure your cream cheese is softened as it will be easier to beat and will help ensure you won’t have a lumpy mousse.
*Sifting the cocoa powder is a step I would suggest you not omit. It will help you to avoid having chocolate lumps in your mousse.
*This mousse will stay good for at least 5 days if stored in a covered container in the refrigerator. But chances are, you’ll never have it stay around long enough to find that out! 😊
